JAY SHINN

About Jay

Shinn lives and works between Dallas, New York, and Berlin. He received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and is an alumnus of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Throughout his career, Shinn has explored minimal geometric abstraction through a variety of practices. Shinn’s work is in many private and public collections worldwide including Houston’s Intercontinental Airport, Texas A&M University’s new Zachary School of Engineering Education Complex and the Kansas City Chief’s Arrowhead Stadium.

Exhibiting widely throughout the U.S., Germany, France, and Italy Shinn is represented by Barry Whistler Gallery in Dallas. Other representation includes William Shearburn, St. Louis; Galerie Joran-Seydoux, Berlin; and Louise Alexander Gallery, Porto Cervo, Italy.

Many of these works are in the solo exhibition Drawings at Barry Whistler Gallery, Dallas and are available by appointment through April 4.
