About Martin

Martin Delabano is a sculptor, painter, blogger, musician, and a middle school art teacher at St. John’s Episcopal School. Born and raised in Dallas, Tx, Delabano earned Bachelor of Fine Arts, (Studio Arts) at East Texas State University, Commerce Tx. He earned his Master of Art, (Sculpture) at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. Delabano has exhibited in Texas and around the country now for forty years.

Delabano has had one-person shows at Untitled Art Space, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas, Texas. Raid Projects, LA, California, Pensacola Museum of Art, Pensacola, Florida, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Amarillo Art Center, Amarillo, Texas, along with over 20 one-person gallery shows in his career.

His work has been written about and included most recently in 40 Contemporary Artist, by Tim Phelan and The Art Of Found Objects: Interviews with Texas Artist, by Robert Craig Bunch, published by Texas A&M Press. His exhibitions have been reviewed in Art America and Art News along with numerous other publications.
